Calais Trip 2007

28 Paddington Rotarians, wives, partners, relatives and friends had a great time, with the fine weather an added bonus. The coach was very comfortable and the crew first class. Shopping at Auchan was interesting but the prices for wines, Champagne and spirits were higher than expected. Our local supermrkets have such good offers that only certain spirits and foodstuffs were attractively priced for many of us. No money was raised because of the small number that participated. It was apparent for some time that this would be a Paddington Rotary day out and not a fundraiser. This contributed to a much friendlier atmosphere on the coach, train and in the restaurant. Well done to all who came along!
